The founder and CEO of Sigma Components is looking forward to an exciting future after finalising a deal to secure new investment in the aerospace manufacturer.

Mark Johnson, who founded Sigma Components in 2004, said: “The completion of the deal with Silverfleet Capital marks the start of a new era for the business, allowing us to drive forward with ambitious growth plans.

“The company has come a long way since we started out as a ‘make-to-print’ manufacturer and now has four facilities in the UK and two facilities in China employing over 750 people.  During the last year it became clear that it was the right time to seek new investment to support that next stage of Sigma’s development.

“The aerospace market has gone through substantial change over the past decade and, as our own capabilities have grown, we’ve identified a number of exciting opportunities to develop the business.

“With new investment in place to support an amazing team of people in the UK and China, I’m confident we are now well placed to take advantage of those opportunities; building on our reputation as a dynamic, innovative supplier to OEMs & Tier 1 suppliers.”
